Imane Khelif is highly acclaimed Algerian boxer. She won the gold medal in the women’s welterweight division at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She is all ready to defend her title at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Even though she has been subjected to constant criticism and false allegations regarding her gender that aren’t backed by any proofs yet. She mentioned that she isn’t afraid of any of these critics including the former US President Donald Trump.

The International Boxing Association (IBA) barred Khelif from the Women’s World Championships in 2023 due to an unclear gender eligibility requirement. Khelif was eventually given the all-clear to compete in the Paris Olympics when the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which no longer recognizes the IBA, questioned the validity of such testing. As she put it, “I want to tell the whole world that I am a woman, and I will always be a woman.” Khelif never denied her gender.

As she is not transgender, and she is convinced of her identity and capability.
